Ahmedabad, Nov 20: For the welfare of Gujarat state and its citizen, Jigar Bhagwanbhai Desai is committed and continuously polishing his skills to serve the citizens, especially of the Banaskanth district he belongs. He is currently the vice-chairman of the Banaskantha District Central Co-operative Bank and vice president of the Banaskantha District Bjym Director – APMC Deesa. Jigar Desai, who was only 18 years old at the time, won the Market yard with the most votes in 2012 and became Gujarat’s youngest Director. He was appointed Minister of Youth Front of the Bhartiya Janta Party (BJP) in Banaskanth District in the year 2013.

Let us look at the achievements and the works of Jigar Desai he has been doing for years to be at the position where he is at present;

In the year 2017, he went to Moscow, Russia, to participate in ‘Inclusion Conclave 2017’ and Inclusion Conclave 2018 held in Belgrade, Serbia, Europe, where he interacted with experts from all around the world and also got felicitated. Jigar Desai successfully participated in the Great Thar desert cycling expedition organized by the Youth Hostels Association of India in the year 2016. Participated in the National Convention of Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJP) held in Hyderabad in the year 2018.

To understand the agricultural field and farming depth, Jigar Desai has taken training from NABARD – National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development in Sikkim and Shimla. He participated in a program organized by the National Institute of co-operative banking management and training held in Karnataka in the year 2016. He had also participated in a program called Corporate governance for the board of directors of StCBs/DCCBs at Shimla, Himachal Pradesh. The program happened in the year 2019 and was organized by the Bankers Institute of Rural Development, Lucknow.

In the years 2015 and 2017, Gujarat received heavy rainfall. In the Banaskantha district, many were displaced from their homes; road connectivity became difficult to reach out for food, water, etc. During such a humanitarian crisis, Jigar Desai and a team arranged for food packets and distributed kits along with NDRF, and called for helicopters to rescue people. He went down to villages to see the conditions of the affected citizens and helped them afterward.

Jigar Desai wishes to continue the social work he has been doing for years. He wants to dedicate his time to the betterment of society and in the development of the rural areas of his District. If he got the opportunity, he would like to serve the people of his District by entering the hard-core politics of Gujarat in the future.
