Adeeba Riyaz has published a book, Zeal of Pen, when other kids of her age just go to school. The Jammu & Kashmir girl has published the book at the age of 11.
An 11-year-old girl from Anantnag in South Kashmir has become the youngest author from the Union Territory who has published a book. Adeeba Riyaz, who is a student of class seven, took just 11 days to write the book, called Zeal of Pen. The book, which has 96 pages, is available online, and you can buy its paperback edition in the market.
Adeeba considered becoming a writer after winning a writing competition hosted by the District Administration of Anantnag in 2019.
When a curfew was enforced in Kashmir following the repeal of Article 370, and the lockdown was extended due to coronavirus, Adeeba decided to write a novel. The zeal of Pen is now available for purchase, and she is overjoyed.
She said, “I’m also making good use of this time. My book contains a little bit of everything.
In my book, I have a few poems and a piece about life.”
Adeeba Riyaz aims to bring literature-filled delight to the world by writing about scenarios that everyone can identify with after gaining praise for her first book at a young age.
