Meet Mr. Sridharan Jayabal & Vikranth Reddy, Co- Founder of TRYB

TRYB is a sports innerwear brand that combines fashion and functionality for athletes and anyone leading an active lifestyle. With a combined experience of over 30 years in the textile industry, Vikranth Reddy and Sridharan Jayabal noticed a gap in the Indian market for sports-specific innerwear and decided to fill it with their brand. Sportswear has always distinguished itself from casual clothing and with that know-how, TRYB was conceptualized by these two sports enthusiasts who share a background in the garment industry.

Vikranth Reddy has been in the Garment export industry since 2006 and has shipped garments to multiple international brands such as Marvel, DC, Walmart, Macy’s, Bloomingdale etc. Having shipped over 1000 containers of goods to various customers in all his years in the business, he has the experience in Mens, Womens and Kids garments. He has also shipped goods to NBA & NFL teams as part of their merchandise.

Sridharan Jayabal, son of Mr. Jayabal hails from the family of Crystal innerwear and the founder of Solo Fashions. With over 20 years of experience in the Innerwear industry and strengths in using different innovative fabrics , Sridharan is the other co-founder of TRYB. Known for creating a name in fabric whiteness as “Solo White” within Tirupur and with the highest index value in the garment industry, Sridharan comes with an expertise that is technically sound in different fabric and yarn. He was also the first to launch the Walt Disney brand in India for kids through a Licensee model, and a pioneer in launching the perfume finish in underwear.

The Indian garment industry has always been divided into Exports and Domestic segments. The highest quality garments and factory would be used for Exports , while lower quality fabrics and smaller factories would be utilized in the Domestic segment. Coming from an export background they have always wondered why one would settle for a lower quality when one could produce the raw material and final product. The idea for TRYB thus came about when Vikranth and Sridharan observed international athletes making embarrassing adjustments to their innerwear on the global stage. They felt that this was a need not many people knew they had, and they were determined to disrupt the market by introducing garments made with the highest quality standards, ideal fabric blends, and superior packaging. After a pilot launch that lasted a year, they formally launched in the market in August 2022.

With TRYB, Vikranth and Sridharan took on a massive challenge to launch a brand in the most competitive space and also took on a niche category, which was tried and failed by the big brands. They introduced a new segment to the Indian audience which was welcomed warmly. TRYB is the first brand to focus primarily on Sports innerwear. Launched with 2 unique fabric blends and 6 individual styles to test the market. TRYB offers the highest level of spandex in innerwear which helps with maximum stretchability to the customer.

TRYB’s products are a unique blend of nylon spandex with DRYTEK and 36Tx weave. Their wicking properties absorb sweat keeping you dry and stretch with you as you’re on the move. Hence wherever you are in your fitness journey , TRYB innerwear has got your back. An overwhelming response to the initial collection got them to launch a new collection in February called the New York Collection.

By using wordplay as a tool in their advertising and marketing they having partnered with over 40 athletes from over 10 sports to promote the product, the quality of TRYB’s product has even been compared to Under Armor and succeeded as the better product.

At the end of the day, TRYB is trying to build a community which offers a safe space for men to discuss health and wellness while offering international quality via their products at the customers doorstep.
