[ez-toc]India/ Singapore, 24th April 2025: AryaXAI, the research and development group within Arya.ai—an Aurionpro Company—today announced the launch of ‘The AryaXAI AI Alignment Lab‘ in Paris and Mumbai to accelerate research in the verticals of AI Explainability and Alignment. This initiative aims to bring together the finest global talent and research institutions to address key challenges in artificial intelligence.
As AI systems grow increasingly complex, the potential risks associated with model failures, misalignment, and lack of accountability simultaneously escalate. This increases the risks of using AI in mission-critical and highly regulated use cases, necessitating urgent solutions. AryaXAI is at the forefront of research in this space, and the launch of the AryaXAI AI Alignment Labs will help expedite these efforts by developing scalable frameworks for explainability, alignment, and risk management. This ensures AI models operate with precision, uphold transparency, and introduce ground breaking methodologies to train and align models, setting new benchmarks for responsible AI.
“AI Interpretability and Alignment are some of the most complex challenges in scaling AI for mission-critical use cases. Solving these means improved visibility inside the models and scalable model alignment techniques, be it for managing the risk, faster/better fine-tuning, model pruning, or new ways of combining model behaviors. We at AryaXAI have been working on these areas,” says Vinay Kumar, CEO of Arya.ai.
“Following our launch in December 2024, we are now expediting this journey. Very few teams are working on this front, and we wanted to expand our focus through a centralized approach that engages with global talent and academia. Paris, with its thriving AI community and centrally located massive academic eco-system in the EU, was a natural choice. Our Mumbai lab will tap into top Indian researchers in AI and engage with universities on frontier problem statements,” he adds.
AryaXAI previously released a new open-source explainability technique called ‘DLBacktrace (DLB)’ to explain and understand the insides of any deep learning model. The team has also released ‘XAI_Evals’ (https://github.com/AryaXAI/xai_evals), a new library for evaluating and benchmarking explainability techniques. With the launch of AryaXAI AI Alignment Lab, the team plans to expedite the development of multiple new techniques and release them as open source.
