National, 22nd June 2023: Gurugram-headquartered media tech startup Uttertale has been selected recently as a cohort startup at AccelerateHer 2023, a 6-week virtual accelerator program, jointly presented by Amazon Web Services (AWS) and leading VC firm Lightspeed, to nurture and empower early-stage women-led startups. With this, Uttertale has become India’s first and only community-centric media startup to join the prestigious AccelerateHer program. Significantly, this development comes at a time when Uttertale is all set to launch its revolutionary media-tech community platform.
Earlier this year, following the Call for Applications for AccelerateHer 2023, over 400 startups from across India applied for this accelerator. Out of them, only 26 Indian startups have been shortlisted and selected after thorough evaluation to be a part of this year’s AccelerateHer cohort. And securing its position successfully amongst the select cohort of startups enables Uttertale to build a rock-solid foundation for its go-to-market (GTM) and business growth journey in the near future. Notably, Uttertale, a startup co-founded by Shalu Jha and Rishu Singh, has also previously been a part of another reputable accelerator program, ‘Level Up’, organized by 91Springboard and Unlock Impact in partnership with Google for Startups.
The currently ongoing AccelerateHer 2023 cohort shall run till June-end and will conclude with a Demo Day – wherein the cohort startups will be able to tap into fundraising opportunities by pitching their solutions to a panel of well-known investors.
