Since their college days, they have collaborated and worked on numerous projects together. However, in 2015, Jaideep was diagnosed with anxiety disorder and required treatment. Turning the weakness into strength, the duo decided to explore the potential of technology to create a product that addresses the problem of mental health.

Can you tell us more about the inspiration behind Migraelief and how BramhAnsh Technologies came up with the idea of using sound wave technology for treating health conditions?

The journey started by a personal encounter with anxiety disorder in 2015, I, Jaideep Tiwari, Founder and CEO of BramhAnsh Technologies, recognized the crucial need for accessible and effective mental health solutions. Undeterred by this challenge, my colleague K. Kartik, BramhAnsh Technologies Co-founder and COO, and I envisioned harnessing technology’s potential to address these critical needs.

Leveraging our longstanding collaboration and shared passions since our college days, we embarked on a mission to establish a company dedicated to utilizing technology for therapeutic interventions across a spectrum of mental health disorders. As emerging young entrepreneurs hailing from a small town in Chhattisgarh, we embraced a bold vision to deliver impactful change.

Our official journey began in 2017 when we initiated dedicated research and development efforts towards a novel technology utilizing sound waves as a method of stimulating and calming the nervous system. Through unwavering dedication and countless hours of research, we successfully brought this groundbreaking technology to life. In 2020, we proudly secured a patent for our innovation, aptly named “MIGRAELIEF.”

What sets Migraelief apart from other solutions in the market, especially in terms of addressing anxiety, migraines, and sleep difficulties?

BramhAnsh Technologies is at the forefront of revolutionizing the MedTech industry with its cutting-edge technology harnessing special low-frequency sound waves capable of conducting through bone, employing Neuromodulation techniques for stimulating nerve activity. This innovative approach draws inspiration from the growing body of literature on sound wave-based treatments, using which we successfully developed a clinically validated solution that stands out for its effectiveness. Our patented technology not only provides treatment but also incorporates preventive capabilities.

We strongly prioritize making our products affordable, easy to use, and of high quality. We are focusing on bringing positive changes and enhancing the overall healthcare experience. Currently, in India we are the first company to come with a neurostimulation device for migraine treatment and prevention. Unlike certain Western products relying on electrical or magnetic stimulation, which involve electrodes and entail recurring costs, Migraelief utilizes special low-frequency sound waves capable of penetrating through skin and bone to stimulate nerves. This innovative approach not only ensures cost-effectiveness but also simplifies the user experience. Additionally, our product also facilitates sleep induction, offers versatile programs, includes a migraine diary, and allows for remote consultation. We remain dedicated to unwavering innovation, with future plans to introduce more groundbreaking MedTech technologies.

How does the patented technology behind Migraelief work to relax the nervous system and alleviate symptoms such as headaches and stress?

MIGRAELIEF, India’s first neuromodulation-based wearable device exclusively designed for the treatment of migraines. The device utilizes research-backed low-frequency sound waves generated by the patented transducer technology. MIGRAELIEF has a unique band design and transducer placement that enables the efficient distribution of low-frequency waves across the head and ensures efficient neuromodulation by stimulating the nerves. MIGRAELIEF targets the trigeminal and occipital nerves in the brain and modulates the activity of the nerves to alleviate pain and promote sleep with a 20-minute course of treatment. It ensures non-invasive and medication-free relief, which is particularly beneficial for individuals who experience limitations or side effects with medications or are looking for an alternate treatment method. MIGRAELIEF is managed via an easy-to-use app that allows user to customize their treatments, track their migraine attacks, monitor symptoms, and share data with healthcare providers for better migraine management.

Considering the prevalence of anxiety disorders globally, how do you envision Migraelief making a significant impact on improving mental health on a larger scale?

Migraelief, with its innovative neuromodulation technology, has the potential to make a significant impact on improving mental health on a larger scale beyond migraine relief. The device’s neuromodulation method could be adapted to target broader neurological applications, including stress and anxiety disorders. By exploring and developing applications that specifically address migraine and anxiety, Migraelief also contributes to the growing field of non-invasive neuromodulation interventions for mental health. Such an extension could provide individuals with a drug-free and non-invasive option for managing migraine and anxiety symptoms. The underlying technology’s ability to modulate neural pathways may offer a novel approach to alleviate anxiety-related conditions, enhancing overall mental well-being. In envisioning Migraelief’s broader impact, we aspire to harness its potential not only for specific health conditions but also for the advancement of neurostimulation technology as a versatile tool in promoting mental health on a global scale.

Can you share any success stories or testimonials from individuals who have benefited from using Migraelief, highlighting its effectiveness in treating various health conditions?

One user of Migraelief, a marketing professional who had battled with migraine for years, found relief at last. These debilitating headaches, often triggered by stress or hormonal changes, had stolen days from her life, forcing her to cancel plans and retreat to darkness.

Then, she came across BramhAnsh Technologies migraine relief device Migraelief. Skeptical but hopeful, she purchased it and began using it. The results were immediate, to her surprise.

“The first time I used Migraelief, it provided immediate relief from migraine pain,” she recalls. “The pounding in my head softened, and the tension around my eyes began to ease. Within minutes, the pain subsided, and I felt a sense of relief that I hadn’t experienced in years.”

Over time, she discovered that Migraelief’s benefits extended beyond migraine relief. She saw a decrease in her overall stress, anxiety and improved sleep quality.

“Migraelief has become my go-to solution for managing my mental and physical well-being,” she says. “The therapy is relaxing and effective, and it’s so convenient to have it readily available. I no longer fear the crippling effects of migraines or the anxieties that used to hold me back.”

Her story is a testament to the potential of Migraelief. Not only has it significantly improved her quality of life, but it has also empowered her to take control of her health and embrace new possibilities.

As the first wearable migraine treatment in India, what challenges did BramhAnsh Technologies face during the development and launch of Migraelief, and how were they overcome?

Developing products like Migraelief presented significant challenges for a startup company like ours. Firstly, establishing a reliable ecosystem of fabrication vendors and suppliers proved to be a major hurdle. Most vendors required large quantity orders (in the thousands or more) to run production batches. This posed a financial challenge for a research-oriented company like Bramhansh, as investing heavily in such quantities for sample pieces was not feasible.

Another substantial challenge was the need for extensive education and awareness-building efforts. However, disseminating knowledge and fostering a comprehensive understanding of the effectiveness of Neuromodulation devices among potential beneficiaries became a critical task. Overcoming the long-established reliance on pharmaceuticals for migraine treatment required a concerted effort to educate individuals about the transformative potential of this innovative approach.

We addressed these challenges, at Bramhansh by working diligently to identify vendors willing to accommodate smaller production quantities while remaining cost-effective. By being innovative, pragmatic and frugal, Bramhansh successfully navigated the challenges, leading to the successful development and introduction of innovative products like Migraelief in the market which is clinically proven, recommended by the doctor, and adheres to all safety parameters.
