‘A monopolist flexing’: US blasts Google’s tactics as antitrust trial opens

The Justice Department and 38 states and territories have accused Google of using its power in online search to stifle competition. In the opening of the trial, the government argued that Google had paid billions of dollars to be the default search provider on smartphones, excluding rivals and solidifying its dominance.
