When you develop a positive mindset, you will stop complaining about the issues. Where there is a problem, there is a solution. You don’t have to wait for opportunities; instead, you can create a pool of opportunities for yourself and others.

In our society or every society, you will find most of the people complaining to others and the government for all small problems.

But there is another breed of people; also, they are less in number, but they believe in taking actions in place of making complaints. They are entrepreneurs – they create solutions; they create opportunities; they hold the economy on their back in a risky environment. That’s the reason entrepreneurship is applauded and appreciated everywhere.

You must be knowing stories of Bill Gates, Warren Buffet, Elon Musk, Ratan Tata, Sachin Bansal, and all other entrepreneurs.

Today, we present here the interview of Abhishek Anand, a first-generation serial entrepreneur, an author, a mentor, a digital marketer  and a public speaker.

Hailing from a non-business family, the journey of entrepreneurship was never easy for him. But he has been determined with his goals since his childhood. Once he got the clarity about his goals, he closed all the doors for himself and left no other option other than entrepreneurship.

We had a fantastic interview with him as he talked about his achievements and challenges in his entrepreneurial journey so far. Check out the full interview here:

How will you Introduce Yourself to the world?

Being human, we all are here just to fulfill the grand conspiracy of nature. Being a part of it, I am also playing my role-taking something from society, optimizing that, and returning it to the community in a better way.

I consider myself a problem solver more than an entrepreneur, and that’s the reason I am working on multiple projects.

Tell your readers about your achievements till today (Be Honest)!!

I am a mechanical engineer by education. I got placed in BlueStar, one of the best HVAC companies working in India. But after working for a few months there, I realized I was wasting my time and energy there.

Not everyone is born to work in an MNC culture or just for a 9 to 6 job. Few individuals are bitten by the entrepreneurial bug; they have to hustle and solve untapped problems. Everything starts with a thought/an idea, and I am not an exception.

I started working on my first project – Get a Service. In the beginning, I didn’t have many resources to hire a qualified team for every work. So, I started working myself on all those requirements, & in this process, I developed several skills. Today I have achieved skills like website development, digital marketing, business planning, content creation, team building, etc.

Apart from this, I am working with NITI Ayog as a Mentor of Change under AIM (Atal Innovation Mission) programme for ATL (Atal Tinkering Labs).

Recently I have launched my book titled “Cracking the Underneath.” This book deals with new approaches & strategies for B2B entrepreneurs, helping them to boost their business to the next level, keeping them ahead in the competition.

I have been to different venues as a public speaker, where I motivated others with my own experiences and learning.

Tell us about your startup!

Get a Service is a platform of opportunities. Here, we help businesses and skilled professionals to get connected. Companies hire professional freelancers/agencies for their projects, and professionals/agencies get opportunities to grow. This startup is incubated in BIA, Patna, under Bihar Startup Policy.

In 2018, I started Get Digital, which is working for businesses to solve their digital marketing related issues. At Get Digital, we believe that in today’s digital era, every company has the right to get digital to reach their target audience in a competitive landscape. Our goal is to bring at least 10K businesses on the digital platform in the next five years.

“What’s the most important thing you’re working on right now, and how are you making it happen?

We are focused on the B2B industry more now. We are helping other entrepreneurs to grow and make their projects successful. Businesses need an excellent digital strategy and robust & skillful team support to survive in the present competitive scenario. We provide both to them in very affordable packages.

What’s your take on your segmented/targeted Market?

Digital Space is witnessing a never seen growth at the moment. Still, only 40% of the total population can use the internet. It will grow more in the coming times, with an expected rate of 7.5% CAGR (source: Statista).

With this much digitization and expected growth, remote work culture is also growing. With possibilities on the digital platform, skilled professionals love to work remotely as a freelancer from their comfort zone.

According to Wikipedia, globally, India ranks as the 2nd largest freelance workforce after the US, with over 15 million people working independently in various sectors such as IT and programming, finance, sales and marketing, designing, animation, videography, content and academic writing. By 2021, 50% of workers are expected to go freelance.

India has about 15 million freelancers, and they have been significantly boosting the growth of startups.

While fostering the startup economy in the country, Indian freelancers are also increasingly providing expertise to top-drawer corporations as business environments and needs evolve.

With this much opportunity, this is undoubtedly an ever-growing & never-ending Market. Our hopes are high, and we are working right with a very positive mindset.

What are the challenges you have faced, and what are the current challenges? Mention the top three problems for both.

A good team is the key to success, so you need to make it happen, and here patience will work for you as an essential factor. Hire interns; they will love to learn and grow with you.

The next important factor is User Acquisition: Big Market is the competition. For startups, it is always tough to compete with big players in the same segment. Significant discounts & other offers from your competitors will not allow your customers to come to you until you come up with some great USP.

Yes, your USP will play a significant role in acquiring your early customers. Funds are another big challenge for bootstrapped startups.

Where do you want to see yourself in the next five years?

As discussed earlier, we wanted to help out 10K businesses in bringing them to the digital platform through Get Digital. We are planning to help at least 1 million freelancers/skilled professionals to grow through our platform-Get a Service.

Please share your learning for fellow Entrepreneurs?

Every single day you will find some new challenges, but challenges are meant to be there – we entrepreneurs are born to solve them. So, never stop hustling – you will surely be a winner of tomorrow.
