Fleetx.io is an intelligent operating system to optimize Fleet and Logistics operations, founded in 2017 by graduates from IIT, NIT, and Purdue University – with a sense of passion and purpose. Startup Reporter recently conducted an interaction with FleetX founder Mr. Vineet Sharma and his Co-founders, Mr. Abhay Jeet Gupta, Mr. Udbhav Rai, Mr. Parveen Kataria, and Mr. Vishal Misra.

Introduce FLEETX and how do you think FLEETX brought a revolution in the logistics space?

Fleetx is a freight automation platform that helps logistics stakeholders digitize end-to-end operations and provides real-time, actionable insights using IoT and Analytics.

Talk about your biggest problem that you solved for any customer. How do you think FLEETX is capable of constantly solving problems for its customers?

It is difficult to point out one particularly big problem; a big problem can be relative to either the complexity of the problem statement or how big the loss for the client was. But honestly, we do not like to refer to them as problem statements but rather opportunities, as we get a chance to improve our product with every big opportunity we get. We are trying to solve the problem of opaque operations and disconnected systems.

Who are the founders and how big is the FleetX team?

FleetX was launched in 2017 by Vineet Sharma and his Co-founders, Abhay Jeet Gupta, Udbhav Rai, Parveen Kataria, and Vishal Misra. We are around 250+ people with a mix of technology, sales, and customer success as major contributors.

As you know the digital transformation sector has a huge involvement in the world economy, what is your take on this?

21st venture is all about digitization and a connected ecosystem. Everything is connected through mobile, internet, and IoT devices. Covid had made us realize that digitization is now a necessity not just an option for every industry, especially logistics and transportation which is the backbone of every economy across the world. The next decade is all about automating the manual processes, collecting the data, and using actionable insights to solve large problems.

Where do you see your company in the upcoming five years?

We aim to become the leading full stack logistics & supply chain automation platform at the global level. In terms of numbers, we will be serving more than 2 million vehicles and serving more than 50000 customers.

What is the geographic spread of your clients? What model do you work on ?

We are one of the leading players in the Indian market so far and we believe our product is ready to compete globally as well. It is just a matter of identifying the right value proposition with right GTM strategy in the other geographies. Hence, we have started some international evaluation in the last quarter and acquired few customers to learn and understand the real pain points. We are currently evaluating on SEA, Middle East and Africa market and soon plan to evaluate the US market later this year. We work on subscription model

What is the biggest challenge you have faced in your career (Changing it to as a company)? How did you overcome it and what did you learn from it?

The biggest challenge we faced initially was the adoption of technology. Though people bought our advanced solutions, old habits don’t die easily and people were still very much used to legacy systems of managing fleet. After a lot of planning, we came up with Fleetx Academy, our academy product where we give courses on fleet management and also teach them our Fleetx Software. It has been a game changer for us and has helped our customers utilize our product to the fullest.
