Dr. Jayanti Kamat, a reputed and experienced Obstetrician, Gynecologist and IVF treatment expert in Mumbai, is the proud recipient of the Women Iconza Award for two consecutive years.
Dr. Jayanti Kamat had bagged this Award for her outstanding services in Women’s Health Care recently in March 2021. She high-headedly received this prestigious and well-deserved Award from Honorable Shri. Vinayak Raut Ji (Member of Parliament). She was felicitated in the same event held last year by Times Applaud for spreading awareness about women’s health and the successful treatment of infertility through IVF.
Dr. Jayanti Kamat has a rich experience of 24 years in the medical field. She began her journey with a small 6-bedded hospital known as Dr. Kamat’s Shushrusha hospital, a surgical and maternity nursing home at Gandhinagar. Presently, Dr. Jayanti Kamat practices at Shrishti Test Tube Baby Center, and Dr. Kamat Hospital in Jogeshwari East, Mumbai.
She completed her MBBS from KMC, Manipal. She is MD –in Obstetrics & Gynecology from GMC, Miraj. Dr. Jayanti Kamat also has a done fellowship in Advanced Infertility from Israel. Currently, she is a member of ISAAR, MOGS, AFG Federation of Obstetric and Gynecological Societies of India (FOGSI), and AMC, DR. kamat has also been awarded the Wonder Fogsian award by FOGSI (Federation of Obstetricians and Gynecologists of India) for being an inspiration to fellow Fogsians and exemplary efforts towards the upliftment of women’s health in India.
Dr. Jayanti, along with her husband, Dr. Manmohan Kamat, a laparoscopic surgeon, started their millennium venture in the year 2000 in the form of Dr. Kamat’s Hospital Jogeshwari East, Mumbai. Dr. Manmohan Kamat is one of the pioneers of laparoscopy in the city of Mumbai. He has obtained rich clinical experience as a full-time clinical faculty for nine years in well-known hospitals such as Bhagwati Hospital Borivali, LTMG (Sion), Dr. R N Cooper Hospital (Juhu), M W Desai Hospital (Malad), and KEM Hospital (Parel). He is presently Head of the Department of Advanced Laparoscopy Surgery in Nanavati Superspeciality Hospital, Vile Parle (West). His papers have been published in many national and international journals. The Government of Tanzania also invited Dr. Manmohan to perform complicated laparoscopic surgeries at Mikocheni Tanzania. He is a visiting professor of Law and Medicine at Jitendra Chauhan College of Law.
