Environment Conclave by Gujarat Ecological Commission on World Environment Day
Ahmedabad (Gujarat) [India], June 8: On the evening of World Environment Day, Gujarat Ecology Commission, Forest and Environment Department of the Government of Gujarat has organised an open conclave on environment and water. The hon. Minister of state Shri Jagdishbhai Vishwakarma (Panchal) has inaugurated the conclave in the august presence of dignitaries from government and prominent speakers from different fields at Sabarmati River Front Event Centre on 5th June Evening.
The conclave was started with the words of welcome by Hon. Member Secretary of Gujarat ecology Commission Shri Mahesh Singh, IFS followed with the salutation by Shri Arun Kumar Solanki, Additional Chief Secretary of Forest and Environment department. An important guest Shri Lochan Sehra, Commissioner of Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation has briefed about the initiatives taken in Ahmedabad. The conclave was designed on the values set by Honorary Prime Minister of India Shri Narendra Modi about the perseverance of water, food and environment and adopting a lifestyle that can suit and save the environment.
There were prominent speakers like Shri Jignesh Dada who is well known Bhagvatacharya, Shri Gopal Arya, National Convener, RSS, Shri Sheeshpal Rajpoot, Chairman of Gujarat Yog Board, Shri Himanshu Prem Joshi from Mumbai, Popular RJ and actor Dhwanit Thakar etc. who all spoke about the environment and presented their views with different angles and attracted the mass audience. As a key attraction of the conclave, Minister of state Shri Jagdish Vishvakarma interacted with the audience and taken their open views and suggestions that what government should do to contribute and preserve the environment. The gesture shown by him has been appreciated end loudly acknowledged by the thousands of people who were present during the conclave. In this program, a special book titled as Main Bhi Atmnirbhar has been launched. GEC has specially prepared video messeges of prominent celebrities to create awareness about the use of elements related to the environment. Hon. State Minister has also launched the series of such messeges titled as Arth No Anarth. Along with same, 1500 training programs to live as per environment has been inaugurated.
Over 1500 to 2000 people have witnessed this initiative by Gujarat Ecology Commission.
