Jeetu Daswani: Founder Milos

About Founder & Journey:

Jeetu Daswani, born in the year of 1992, is the founder of the new startup, Milos. He has been born in Baroda and brought up in Mumbai. After working in the media industry for 4 years, Jeetu shifted to Africa to learn how business and entrepreneurship works. There he learnt about the techniques of running a business efficiently.

While handling operations for a Shopping Mall, he noticed how so many people lost their stuff in the mall and kept coming back to find them. That’s where the idea for Milos was born, because he felt that there needs to be a better system in place. Evolution is the law of nature! After coming back from Africa, he got into marketing to understand running a business even better. 16 months later and due to lockdown kicking in and losing his job, that’s when he decided that it is time to kickstart Milos. Jeetu bootstrapped the venture entirely on his own without even thinking if the idea will be a success or not, just with the sole purpose of helping people around. Milos is a work of sleepless nights, constant struggles, insane research and entrepreneurial qualities of the founder.

Lot of things have evolved in this world, but Jeetu felt that the cause of Lost & Found is here to stay, so it needs an upgrade. Banners on the street and social media posts doesn’t yield the results people normally expect, so having a completely dedicated platform for this cause will make things so much easier for everyone. Jeetu wanted to revolutionize how Lost and Found works as a digital platform in the real world. With no mentor, he is a self-made individual, who taught himself everything and put in his utmost hard work to make this work. This is how Milos came into existence.

About Milos:

Milos has been created to help the people who have lost their things to connect with the people who have found them. Milos is a mediator app where you can either post about the items you have found somewhere that do not belong to you or post about items that you have lost and want to get them back. You can use features like description, clues, location and a reward system for what you have lost so that the person who has found it, feels motivated to return it back to you. On Milos, you can post a picture that can be seen by everyone within the radius of 100 kilometers.

You also have an option of using a premium feature on the app called Buzz, where you can post a picture that can be seen by everyone in the radius using the app. Like this, you are more likely to find the things you have lost and are valuable to you. After you post about what you have lost or found, you can find the in-built chat feature to get the work done faster and seamlessly. You can chat with them and decide the process of returning the things back. In this way, you will be able to get back your lost items easily! With Milos, you can find not just things that are lost but also people and pets who have gone missing. You might lose a thing and still be fine with it but if a pet or a person goes missing, it can be very despairing and life comes to a standstill. That’s why Milos wants to help.

Milos also has an additional feature Blood/Plasma donation which connects Donors and Patients seamlessly. This feature is helpful for the people who are in urgent need of blood and plasma. Milos connects you to people nearby who are ready to help you by donating blood or plasma while you need it. You get an option to chat with different people and find the person who is of the same blood group that you need!

With the ongoing pandemic, plasma donation is one of the biggest issues that the country has faced. Milos can easily simplify this process. This feature has the ability to save lives and help people in times of emergency.

How it benefits people:

Losing what’s special to you can be devastating. When people post about what they’ve Lost or Found (I.e. pets, mobile phones or other valuable stuff) on social media like Facebook and send forwards on WhatsApp, it does not reach the right person or the person who has found them. This is where Milos comes into the picture, the world’s first dedicated digital platform for Lost & Found.  People who lose or find something can simply post about it on Milos and respective people will check out the app. Without random social media posts where things like these can get scattered and not show up to the right person, Milos aims to make things easier for everyone. With an in-built chat feature, people don’t even have to worry about getting contact details and getting in touch with people, which additionally reduces the wait time.  You can check out our official website – www.milos.co.in to find out more about Milos and download the app from the AppStore as well as Google Play Store.
