Kanika, the founder of “Khane Se Pyaar,” who comes from a middle-class family, has seen her mother struggling a lot since her childhood. As a single parent, her mother had done everything for their family and tried to make both her daughters strong and independent.
Early Life & Educational Background:
From the very beginning in life, she has seen many ups and downs, which made her stronger and more responsible. Every child has a dream in mind which they want to achieve.
Similarly, when she was in 10th class, she wants to start a food business but clueless about the steps she has to follow.
From the age of 17, she started earning her first income when she taught a few students, followed by freelancing content writing and website management. But, the final aim and passion is to cook and serve people.
After completing her high-secondary school, she got admission to the Bachelor’s of Hotel Management Program. Only after that, her journey to achieve her goal begins. The first year was beneficial, and she got to know that how she can succeed in her aim and what are the steps to grow further in this field.
Vocational Trainee at “The Park Hotel”:
After completing her first year, she joined as a Vocational Trainee (In Kitchen) in “The Park Hotel,” a five-star property located in Central Delhi just in front of Jantar Mantar. There she got a chance to live her dream for the first time when she wore that chef coat and the dress.
● During her training period, she has to cross many barriers like working for long hours, which is more than a 10-12 hours shift every day. Handling all the hard work with mental and physical pressure on the body. But, as it is said that when we are in the most challenging situation, either we shine like a sun or our personality fades.
● After this training of 2 months, she became more sure about her dream and found that she can do this hard work smartly because it is her passion.
Industrial Trainee at “The Imperial Hotel”:
After completing the second year of college, she got a chance to join as an Industrial Trainee (In Kitchen) at “The Imperial Hotel,” which is again the most luxurious fiver star standalone property located in central Delhi.
● It is a property where many hoteliers dream to work, and she got a chance to learn from the chefs of the Kitchen early in her career. It is again a different journey with a lot of hard work.
● But, yes, again, she loved to work and learn during his training period.
● She has learned about the standards of cooking and how a successful running brand should work and serve the guest wholeheartedly.
● Everything depends on teamwork and how employees are working happily. Happy employees are the only foundation of a successful business.
Just after completing her training and graduation, when the placements were going on, the corona crises began, and everything was shut all of a sudden. This was the biggest tragedy for every hotelier as tourism was shut for years.
Becoming an Entrepreneur & Starting the Journey:
Here comes the period when Kanika decided to enhance her skills by practicing various dishes at home. After 6 months of practice, finally, she decided to sell the products she learned and practiced to make.
● After completing graduation, she has started her online business of bakery and confectionary items.
● “Khane Se Pyaar” has a wide variety of homemade chocolates, cakes, muffins, tarts, cupcakes, mousses, and many more. It’s her first step towards her dream, and many more to go. Every entrepreneur has their success and struggle story, which helps many more to grow and learn.
In mid of 2020, she got her first order, and the flawless journey begins. Becoming an entrepreneur is a dream, but very few people have the courage and passion for achieving it.
It is only 6 months back when she became the founder of “Khane Se Pyaar” with her mother’s help, who is working hand in hand, day and night with her. Every entrepreneur starts from somewhere to reach the destination, and this is the initial journey of Kanika.
The Final Goal
There are many more goals to achieve, and she wants to open a multi-cuisine restaurant for her mother. The final aim is still to be achieved and far to be grabbed. But, the hard work and passion is enough to reach with the support of her family.
