Lawyer On The Spot (LOTS), an on-road legal service providing company that helps commercial vehicle drivers who require lawyers more often than not instantly as they are usually harassed by police officers, recently launched a major initiative called the “BharatMala Project”. It seeks to improve the lawyer’s network in the country by ensuring the availability, reliability, and affordability of lawyers.
‘BharatMala Project’ is envisioned to ensure LOTS’ commitment to providing a Lawyer On The Spot within 2 working hours. It is only possible if there is a lawyer available within a 50 km traveling distance from the place where the incident happened. Therefore as part of this project, LOTS is mapping all the National and State Highways of the country and is working towards creating a database of all the practicing lawyers in cities and towns within 50 km from any point on the highways.
These lawyers are then empaneled with LOTS and are reached in case of an incident happening close to their city of practice. This ensures that LOTS is able to provide instant local representation to our customers to resolve on-the-spot issues at the time of need. The onboarded lawyers are experts in the field of MACT, Criminal, and Taxations law and are empaneled on our agreed pricing to deliver cost-effective services. By increasing access to affordable and competent counsel, the project has improved the connectivity of lawyers in remote and rural areas.
