Making Waves in the Film Industry – Sagar Pasad
Success does not come overnight, rather it is years of delivering perfection that make one successful. Sagar Pasad is well known for being a sought-after photographer in the industry, where he has contributed tremendously to various brands through his creative ideas and lens. Sagar is an alumni of the New York film academy in film making. He found his call for filmmaking with the short film ‘Furious Vegetarian’. It is a supreme piece of art that shows how the right direction and acting can achieve its goal of conveying a deep message without even a single word. The journey did not stop there, and Sagar continued as a filmmaker with his second work “The Blind Game” for which he was appreciated and awarded at Los Angeles International Film Festival. He is currently working on other short movies projects as well.
About Sagar Pasad
Sagar Pasad, a talented photographer, and filmmaker, recently sat down for an interview to discuss everything from how his career started to how his vision has evolved. Sagar truly has photography in his blood as his father was also a photography enthusiast since 1981. When asked about the inspiration behind his passion for photography, he instantly named his father, who inspired him to take up this craft and even trained him. This is where his passion for photography began, and he assisted a few commercial and fashion photographers to hone his skills. He then attained professional training by doing a six-month advanced photography course from NIP. He went on to complete a full-time 2-year course of master craftsman in photography from Shari Academy and further studied advanced film-making at New York Film Academy. The hard work he has put into his training and profession comes from his lifelong passion for the art of photography. He has always been a creative person and loves telling a story through his lens. When asked about the challenges presented by product photography, Sagar highlighted that while products are lifeless, a photographer has to breathe life into them through their camera and lighting. Products cannot speak, but a photographer has to effectively communicate through his photographs to make the products beautiful and boost sales. However, this is a challenge he loves taking on, and clicking photographs that carry meaning and tell a story is his biggest passion.

Sagar Pasad is a well-known name among youth and he loves interacting and sharing tips with them whenever he can take out time from his busy schedule. He has been sharing his experience with students of photography at Shari Academy and Canon India as a faculty.
