Roop Partap Choudhary is an award-winning young hotelier acclaimed internationally for promoting Indian hospitality, art, culture, and cuisine on the global hospitality stage. Under his avid leadership, Noormahal Palace Hotel in Karnal has today secured its place as one of India’s most Instagrammable destinations in the uber-luxury space. From grandeur to opulence, history, art, architecture, and memorabilia, every corner of Noormahal Palace embraces the royal charm, giving the toughest competition to India’s most popular and centuries-old palace hotels. Equipped with ultra-modern amenities in a traditional heritage backdrop, The Noormahal Palace is also the most preferred wedding destination, especially for the NRIs showcasing the Royal Splendour of the bygone era of “The Maharajas”.

As Executive Director of the Jewel Group of Hotels (the parent organisation of brand Noormahal Palace), he is aggressively expanding the company’s horizons towards Eastern Europe with a base in London, carrying the proud Indian heritage and traditions to destinations like Prague and Berlin.

When the hospitality landscape across the globe was shaking due to the pandemic, Brexit, and cost of living crisis, Roop dared to take India’s art and culinary delight in form of a unique dining concept to the heart of London. Colonel Saab, a modern Indian restaurant from Roop Partap Choudhary not only survived but thrived to be named one of the top Indian restaurants by Forbes and won various prestigious awards including the Best Restaurant in Feed the Lion awards. In a short span of time Colonel Saab started welcoming regulars from Nobel Peace Prize winner, Malala Yousafzai to pop icons, TV stars and presidents. Inspired by the travel tales of Roop’s father, an Indian Army officer Col. Manbeer Choudhary and mother Mrs. Binny Choudhary across the Indian subcontinent, created by Roop as a “love letter” to his family, as well as homage to India, Colonel Saab has taken London Hospitality by storm.

Representing the second generation of a famous hotelier family, he firmly believes in carrying on the rich tradition of the Jewel Group of Hotels dynasty. Jewel Group of Hotels has made a strong impact in the field of luxury hospitality and continues to do so with unique concepts and initiatives.

Roop is a hotelier by both profession and passion. Before embracing the family legacy of heritage hospitality, he gained in-depth knowledge of the industry. He has experience of working with some of the most esteemed hospitality brands in the country such as ITC Maurya, Kingdom of Dreams, and Galaxy Hotel. His tenure with these organisations has helped in understanding the intricacies and the profundity of the hospitality world.

This award-winning Indian entrepreneur, hotelier, and restaurateur has been selected as a judge for the StartUp Awards National Series in the UK. His journey has been recognised in the under 30 Awards by Travel India Awards, as one of the youngest hoteliers to receive the accolade.

Roop Partap Choudhary is also an avid art collector and has a keen eye for detail. He is an advocate for social causes and chairs multiple NGOs championing the causes of female empowerment and youth employment. His hard work and passion led Noormahal Palace Hotel to win a plethora of prestigious awards including the Best upcoming 5 Star Resort at the Indian Hospitality Awards, Best 5 Star Heritage Resort, and best destination wedding hotel in north India award.

Roop has proved that if someone has the enthusiasm and the motivation to succeed, then it doesn’t matter how young you are or how tough the time is. True to ethics, Roop encourages transparency and believes in developing talent and loyalty. Roop has been investing his knowledge and skills into making the Noormahal Palace and other ventures of Jewel Group of Hotels a great success.
