When Amritha Gaddam was diagnosed with PCOS (Polycystic Ovary Syndrome) at that time unfortunately there was no easily available literature that she could read up and understand – exactly what was happening to her
One fine day figuring she had nothing to lose – she decided to take a step in another direction and give Ayurveda inspired solutions that she had women around her resorting to on a daily basis to aid their damaged hair and skin. And to her utter surprise – she was left pleasantly surprised and only wished that every girl out there could get hold of these solutions. She soon decided to educate her near and dear ones and the response she received for extremely basic yet effective Ayurvedic – non fancy – non fragrant solutions was overwhelming. That is when she decided that she has to take this wealth of knowledge out there, research more, and share it with the world. And so on 21st May 2019 – The Tribe Concepts was born.
The brand launched themselves in the market with their flagship product – 90 day miracle hair oil. The response was superb because the brand cracked the code to arresting hair fall issues in just a couple of regular applications. Today the brand has launched various product lines and ranges that are inspired by simple clean and effective Ayurveda derived ingredients.The growth pattern was very aggressive right from the start. In their very first year of operations the brand clocked in a revenue stream around 2.25 crores and now in their third year running – they are looking at closing a turnover of 50 crores – reaching almost five lakh customers, across the globe.
Not just that Economic Times has also recognised The Tribe Concepts as Brand of the Year in 2021 and 2022. Because Amritha continues to locally procure the finest of the ingredients for her products and believes in empowering more and more women in various roles at her organisation – she went on to win BW Disrupt Young Women Entrepreneurs awards 2021. She was also acknowledged with CXO most inspiring Business Women in India 2022, Business Connect – 10 Most Inspiring Women Entrepreneurs to watch out Globally, Women Disruptors 2022 by Adgully as Women Startup Entrepreneurs of the Year (Less than 5 Years) . Her alma mater presented her with SIBM alumni Achiever Award in 2022.
