A Union cabinet minister saved the life of a co-passenger on board a flight. PM Modi applauded the act, calling it a great gesture.
Dr. Bhagwat Karad, a cabinet minister of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, administered first aid to save the life of a fellow passenger on an Indigo flight. Netizens have been heaping praises on the minister since the incident occurred on Tuesday. Moreover, Modi also commended Dr. Kara praised the minister for his kind gesture.
Pictures of the minister, a doctor by training, assisting a nervous co-passenger on a Delhi-Mumbai IndiGo aircraft have become popular on social media.
On Tuesday, Dr. Bhagwat was on Indigo aircraft 6E 171 from Delhi to Mumbai. An hour after the flight took off, a passengers’ health deteriorated. The cabin crew immediately inquired if there was a doctor on board. After that, Dr. Bhagwat stepped forward to assist. The Union Minister administered first aid to the patient and also administered injections from the flight’s emergency kit to the passenger.
According to a statement from the Minister of State for Finance, the passenger complained of giddiness mid-flight due to a blood pressure issue, so he reached out and provided first aid. PM Narendra Modi praised the union cabinet minister’s “great gesture” and wrote, “Always a doctor at heart! My colleague made an excellent gesture “on Twitter. The Indigo airline also expressed gratitude for Dr. Bhagwat and sincerely appreciated the minister. The airline said Dr. Bhagwat’s voluntary support for helping out a fellow passenger will always inspire people to do the same for others.
