On the 26th of November, 2021 Colaba witnessed a host of dignitaries come forward to execute the Tree Plantation Drive. The Drive was conducted as a part of the CSR activity- Go Green Initiative brought about by the team of Dadasaheb Phalke International Film Festival Awards
On 26th November 2021, Colaba witnessed a host of dignitaries come forward for a Tree Plantation Drive. The drive witnessed the presence of Lt. Colonel RK Banerjit- Second in Command (Heading Punjab Battalion), Hon’ble Padmashree Ujjwal Nikam, senior public prosecutor, Grandson of Dadasaheb Phalke Ji and Actor Manoj Bakshi
Executives from partner brands also joined to show their support for the initiative.
Dadasaheb Phalke International Film Festival organized the Tree Plantation Drive in execution with We For World Foundation and supported by CoinDCX, Josh, JK Tyre, Organic India, Koo, Truecaller, Toothsi, State Bank of India, Planet Marathi, IIFL, Vistara, PVR, Red FM, Chakli Art, Arunachal Pradesh Tourism, Karnataka Tourism, Gujarat Tourism, Chhattisgarh Tourism, and Rajasthan Tourism.
Each year, the Team of DPIFF comes up with activities through which they can spread awareness about environmental consciousness and do a bit on their part to give back to nature. The Tree Plantation was one amongst several activities that comes under the initiative. The initiative never fails to leave its mark and has received constant acknowledgment and appreciation from Hon’ble Prime Minister of India Shri Narendra Modi Ji.
In appreciation of the event the Abhishek Mishra, CEO of DPIFF added, “It is an honor for us to be able to organize such events year after year and see those saplings grow each year. It gives us a sense of fulfillment and the responsibility we have towards mother nature.”
Expressing his views, Lt. Colonel RK Banerjit also said, “As in any sphere of life and walks of life to attain anything is easy, but to maintain it is difficult and for that, your environment and surroundings have to be conducive and so has to be your attitude. Similarly, after planting the saplings they need to be taken care of over time.”
During this drive, Team DPIFF vouched to continue to create and deliver a positive message while honoring the talents of the Indian Film Industry as it carries forward the golden legacy of the Father of Indian Cinema Shri Dadasaheb Phalke Ji.
