How Rs. 1 lac logistics firm Terrago turned into over Rs 6cr environment friendly business

Mohan Ramaswamy and Sukhveer Dhariwal have built an over Rs. 6 crore turnover logistics company. TerraGo also aims to lower CO2 emissions in the environment.

Mohan Ramaswamy was working on his integrated logistics business idea when he met Sukhveer Dhariwal through a mutual friend. After meeting, they decided they were a perfect match and founded Terrago Logistics, which provides hassle-free and easy logistics services to B2B and B2C businesses. But that’s not all, as the company also strives to reduce carbon emissions in the environment.

Mohan and Sukhveer invested Rs. 1 lakh in the company and began working hard to make it run and develop.

That’s how the two started working on Terrago Logistics and established it on November 13, 2017.

Terrago operates in intercity transportation, intracity transportation, and track and traces technology services.

“We give both physical and digital form of logistic services to B2B and B2C through not only one means of transportation, but all,” explained Mohan of the company’s name.

In the four years that the company has been in existence, they have collaborated with brands like Times of India, AbInBev, Carlsbergs, Molson Coors, and many others.

The corporation primarily deals in Consumer Goods, Food & Beverage, Industrial Goods, Retail, and a variety of other industries.

TerraGo’s services are offered in 12 metro cities, including Delhi, Noida, Bangalore, Jaipur, and Ahmedabad. They also have a minor presence in Kanpur and Chitur.

The company’s partners assert that Terrago Logistics is the quickest and most comprehensive answer to all logistics issues.

Mohan said, “In spite of demonetization, GST, and Covid-19 pandemic, Terrago has been able to survive and grow in the industry. It has now become an over Rs. 6 crore revenue company.”

Sukhveer says, “Our aim to employ 100 percent e-vehicles for Terrago transportation services has been delayed due to the coronavirus outbreak, but we are working on it. We will just use e-vehicles for transportation “Very soon.”

Sukhveer adds, “The living conditions of these drivers are deplorable. They don’t have better working hours, a better food, and are away from home for days on end, and their income is pitiful. As a result, while working longer and harder hours, they and their families struggle throughout their lives. This is why Terrago also provides better wages, insurance, and finances for their (truck drivers’) children’s education.

“Because we are a small company, we aid as many drivers as we can,” Sukhveer remarked, noting that 150 drivers have been assisted thus far.

During the Covid-19 pandemic, many people were laid off, had their pay slashed, or lost their source of income, however Terrago Logistics did not do so with their employees.

Moreover, the company employed a few more personnel and trained them for improved performance.
