Meet Ms. Samhita R, Co-Founder of Crowd Control Esports (CCE)

Samhita R is the Co-Founder and also the key driving force like the others behind Crowd Control Esports(CCE), who has built the brand from scratch. She is referred to as the ‘SheSapien’ by team CCE, a hardcore gaming enthusiast, business architect of the brand, and a growth hacker who brings two decades of rich experience with her to the team.

Samhita strongly believes that the modern era of talent is keen to engage beyond companies with leaders and purpose, keeping this view in light, she engages with communities. She has co-built CCE with the vision of creating a sustainable impact for the esports community and leaving a legacy for the next generation. She sums up “Esports is a science, an adrenaline, a livelihood, and a sport”.

Her journey of co-building CCE started in May 2020 along with other two gaming enthusiasts. The 3 co-founders bring with them their rich experience and have a strong focus on Content, Communities, and Events. The trio wants to build CCE as a human engagement platform with multiple IPs through CrowdForge, KhelShaala and CrowdVerse. Their first brush with success has been the launch of their exclusive IP-‘AAYO PokeCon’ which has crossed more than 15 million views.

Samhita has successfully been able to bring in the research, passion, and learnings from India’s movie and entertainment industry stirred by Dadasaheb Phalke and believes that esports in India has the potential to orchestrate the future livelihood of the next generation like the magic that movies created in India. Samhita and the CCE team pride themselves on creating one of the best visuals, brand narratives, and stories in the ecosystem with CCE Studios.

She believes it is essential to focus beyond commercial outcomes to shape this industry for the current and future gamers and fandom. The 3 have jointly transformed CCE from a start-up to a growing start-up in 18 months of operations and the brand is now poised to scale with multiple offerings for the esports community in India and international realms.

She brings onboard an experience in building and operating new businesses from ideation to sustenance. In her words, “Building sustainable businesses is an art and a science. In esports, it is the art of creating an authentic experience for gamers and the science of building a community with fans, brands, and enthusiasts. After all, esports is for everyone.”

Samhita, boasts of a strong academic background (Indian School of Business and Shri Ram College of Commerce) and a diversified professional journey with celebrated Fortune companies (Honeywell, EY, Microsoft, Abbott). She has held leadership positions across geographies and business functions.

Crowd Control Esports was selected as part of Image CoE, 2nd Cohort, hosted by STPI and also amongst the selected start-ups at Bits Conquest and ISB M-Fabulous.
