The Long-awaited ‘One Last Kiss’ was released as a theme song for the film ‘Evangelion: 3.0+1.0 Thrice upon a Time.’ on the 10th of March 2021.
Fans who heard the music during advanced streaming shared excited comments like “THIS IS THE FIRST BEAUTIFUL THING WE HAVE GOT SO FAR FROM 2021. The music video of ‘One Last Kiss’ was directed by Hideaki Anno, the author, screenwriter, and director of the film ‘Evangelion: 3.0+1.0 Thrice upon a Time.’ The collaboration has finally come to fruition with the conclusion of the “Evangelion: New Theatrical Edition” series. It has received rave reviews from fans of both Hikaru Utada and Evangelion. The MV has already garnered 500,000 views in just 2 days since its premiere.
After accepting Hikaru Utada’s offer to make a music video, Mr. Anno proposed Hikaruto send the material shot by her without any on-site direction. He then cut it up and joined it together to create the final video. After receiving minimal orders from Mr. Anno via e-mail, Hikaru Utada took meticulous measures to prevent Corona infection and shot the film in London’s suburbs with a few staff members. The film was edited in Japan by Mr. Anno and his team, who received the video material shot with various equipment, including smartphones. The result is a work that evokes bittersweet emotion as if tracing an important memory from the private past. Please watch and enjoy the music video along with the film.

The release of ‘One Last Kiss’ International edition vinyl and the Album cover is also revealed!
With the huge number of requests, the release of the International edition vinyl of ‘One Last Kiss’ was announced. The album cover is different from the Japanese edition and the cover features Asuka. This vinyl is planned to be released in the summer of 2021.
